Here's the thing...

I actually wrote an update yesterday, but Blogger ate it (which has taught me a valuable lesson, which I already learned once from LiveJournal, to copy my post before publishing it). I was in a bit of a hurry to get the day started yesterday, so I just didn't have the time to rewrite the whole thing. Yesterday I wrote that I finished the back of the Ribby Cardi on the same day I posted that picture of it last weekend. I also wrote that I was at about the same point as I was in the last picture with the fronts (which I'm knitting at once). Well, now I am at the decreases for the fronts, and things are going swimmingly. I love the pattern, I love the yarn, and I'm going to love the finished sweater, I just know it!

Yesterday I was also doing a little thinking out loud about possible yarn storage in our new place. In the apartment we're in now, I have the luxury of a room-like hall thing between the living room and bathroom which has built in storage. Previously, I'd kept all of my yarn, patterns, needles, and knitting books in there. After much deliberation, I decided I would go with under the bed storage bags for my yarn. I found some on sale at Amazon which are quite large and I hope will fit my stash. Despite my stash diet coupled with stash liquidation, I still managed to fill four large boxes with yarn. (My yarn was the very first thing moved into the new apartment, do I have my priorities straight or what?)

I managed to get in a little stash enhancement last night, too. WEBS' anniversary sale began yesterday, so I picked up a bag of Jo Sharp Soho Summer in a light blue, and five skeins of Artful Yarns Serenade in this fuschia/lime green mix. The Serenade is destined to be another ChicKami, and the Soho Summer will probably become a cardigan. Something girly with 3/4 sleeves. I plan to get a buttload of Cascade 220 as well, enough for four sweaters, but I wanted to wait and see how moving costs acumulate before getting all crazy. Not to mention waiting to see if I can fit it all into those storage bags. They had so many good deals, but I'm trying to be good.

Another photo-less post. I don't really feel like making space right now. I can't wait to get into our new apartment. Expect lots of photos; the place is SUNNY.

Sunny, that's the most importat thing. I hate gloomy, dark places. Good luck with moving the rest of your stuff.

Don't get too psyched about the Soho Summer, though! I ordered mine on the very first day and they were already sold out of the light blue!
